Joker sighed in frustration as he stared at the monitor of the computer, suffering from a bad case of writer’s block. At least this time Raiha-san won’t tease me about writing anything cheesy… I didn’t even write anything! Joker sighed and leaned back on his chair, placing his hands behind his head.
“Maybe you really should have gone back to cross-stitching or quilting.” Raiha commented from over his shoulder.
“Naa… I still think I’m cut out for writing. Besides, my fingers would probably break from those needles if I ever tried cross-stitching again. I’m quite rusty now.” Joker grinned showing his fangs. His teeth show was interrupted by a fuming Neon who came charging into the room, sitting onto the chair next to Joker.
“Ohh… That Violet is really getting on my nerves,” Neon looked disdainfully at the door.
“Yes. Kurei-sama really seems to like her a lot,” Joker said and lifted one hand to his forehead as if having a headache. “Can you imagine someone who would choose Kurei-sama instead of me? A man of my charms and she doesn’t even realize it- ” His thick kansai accent was cut off by a laughing Raiha.
“You wish!” The ninja said as he chuckled.
“Well it’s true!” Joker clasped his hands together and sighed dreamily. “Which woman wouldn’t want my dazzling charm, my rapier wit, my wide range of masterful capabilities…” He fluttered his eyelashes but the action wasn’t seen by the two other people in the room as his mask hid his eyes well.
“Hmmph,” Neon scowled as thought about the red-haired woman who was tending with Kurei at that moment.
A few months (or at least until everything is over with that old geezer Kouran.^^) had passed since the Ura Butou Satsujin and Kurei’s injuries were healed. Three of the remaining Uruha members was staying with Kurei at his mansion which he had bought when he was under the power of Koran Moor. Kouran had know idea that they were living there right now. Kurei had met Violet a week ago and was indeed showing much emotion to the woman. Red-haired, sweet, kind Violet resembled his former love, Scarlet, greatly.
Neon gave a long exasperated sigh. “Master Kurei seems to like her a lot.”
Joker and Raiha exchanged looks. Joker grinned. “Well, it’s not like you really care right, Neon-han? After all, you must already be deeply in love with me. Of all the many women in the world, you are one of them who is in love with the one and only Joker.” He flashed a smile at them. Raiha laughed and Neon shook her head, smiling a little at the latter.
“No possible way,” She said and folded her arms across her chest. She sighed once more. It was beginning to be one of her hobbies. “I’m going to the kitchen to get a drink.” She got up and left the room.
“Well, I’ll go and see if any of the cars need washing or something,” Raiha walked out of the room. “Maybe you’ll have something that’s not as bad as limburger cheese when I come back.”
Joker smiled as he leaned back on his chair. He closed his eyes as he thought about the orange-haired Uruha member.
Neon-han was one of the beautiful looking members of the female specimen by far. No one could tell by looking at her that she was actually Kurei’s maid. The bright orange-reddish phoenix like hair, the perky nose, the red, rose-like lips, the rosy white skin. Physically gifted and emotionally warm and caring, Joker definitely had to admit that his fellow Uruha member is quite a woman. She cared so much for their leader, anyone could tell. But Kurei rarely showed the same feelings back to her. When she had taken care of him the week after the UBS, he had seemed to care more for her but that was about it. Now that he had met Violet, he didn’t seem to pay as much attention to Neon-han anymore.
Joker sighed. Neon-han had an icy-cold surface. But under that was kind, caring, soft-hearted person. If Neon cared for him the way she cared for Kurei-sama, he’d greatly appreciate it and would probably fall for her in a second. He knew a good woman when he saw one and Neon-han… was definitely one of them. Ever since the UBS had finished, his feelings for her had no doubt grown stronger.
“Oi! Wake up, Joker,” Neon stood in the doorway, her voice breaking away his thoughts as he opened his eyes. “Kurei-sama wants us to get groceries for dinner so there’s no time for you to laze around and sleep, you nincompoop.” Neon put her hand on her waist, showing more clearly the curves of her body.
Joker nodded and took his wrapped up physic device, Taishaku Kaiten, which had been leaning against the computer desk, and walked out of the room, down the stairs with Neon, about to go on their mission.
